Friday night at The Comedy Store, I had the distinct pleasure of sharing the stage with the incredible Iliza Shlesinger. Genius! Just to see how quickly her mind works, pulling so many disparate ideas together in a way that (seems) so effortless was incredibly inspiring; she just operates on a completely different level from most comedians. It reminded me to drop the “script” and let my mind have fun exploring the rant. Woke up Saturday morning filled with energy and re-wrote the middle of my set. The next night’s set — the first show in my residency with Melinda Hill — was my best set ever, I think. I don’t normally “blog” about my incredibly boring thoughts, but this was worth annoying you with.
